So you have decided to visit Valparaíso.

Good idea, you won’t be disappointed.

But, where to stay?  

Valparaiso is a city built on a series of hills around a bay. The downtown area covers what was the shore between these hills and the sea. 

There are about 45 hills in Valparaiso . Each is interesting with winding cobbled streets, narrow alleyways and steep staircases, but visitors spend the vast majority of their evenings on just two hills: Cerro Concepcion and neighbouring Cerro Alegre. The reason is simple. Aside from having the prettiest, safest and cleanest streets in the city, Cerro Concepcion/Cerro Alegre also have all the bars and restaurants that are popular with visitors. Hence, for an easy walk back to the hotel after an evening out, choose somewhere to stay with either Cerro Concepcion or Cerro Alegre in the address. There are many places to choose from.  

Our Allegretto Bed & Breakfast is housed in a beautifully-furnished period house on a quiet street in Cerro Alegre, literally just around the corner from bars and restaurants.
